Largest Eisteddfod of its kind in Australia

South East Queensland is home of the Gold Coast Eisteddfod which is the largest youth competition of performing arts in Australia. It is not only a platform for launching the careers of international performers, but also a place where enduring memories are created, future careers are fostered, and the stars of tomorrow are developed.

We have sections in all genres of Music, Dance & Drama including Dance Solos, Young People with Disability, Strings, Wind & Brass, String Orchestras, Small Ensembles, Dance Groups, Choral, Bands, Stage Bands, School Dance Groups, Piano, Vocal and Speech & Drama.

GCE is a competition that provides a safe and inclusive platform that encourages young performers to showcase their talent and creativity while fostering personal growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship. We strive to create a supportive and positive environment where participants can develop their skills and gain valuable experience through constructive feedback from experienced adjudicators. Our ultimate goal is to inspire and empower the next generation of performing artists.

We welcome entrants from all areas of Queensland, Australia and international competitors.

Welcome

The Gold Coast Eisteddfod acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live, learn, work and where all activities take place. We recognise all First Nations peoples as the original storytellers of these lands and acknowledge the vital role they continue to play in our community. We offer our respect to Elders past and present; and to all First Nations people whose sovereignty was never ceded.
